Welcome all new members and lurking guests to the official forums of the Southwestern Adventist University Rough Writers!
Otherwise known as your friendly neighborhood English Departmental Club.
This thread is an introduction to the forums and how we're set up. I know that looking at the main page can sometimes seems daunting, but with this little tour of the boards, I hope you begin to feel right at home.
Since You're here, you already know about our "New? See Here First" section. In this section you can introduce yourself as a new member and tell us a little about yourself. You can also find out more about our group, including our Social Networking information and our official club constitution.
Next up is the SWAU Writers section. This area is specifically about the club, where you will find information and discussion concerning our weekly meetings, Writing Challenges, National Novel Writing Month, feedback (where we can post our work and get commentary from fellow members) and all information about our Annual Writing Competition.
Now we come to the General board. This section is the most varied, where members and alumni can talk about any number of things, from SWAU itself, to literature, from entertainment, to politics, from spirituality to alumni matters and everything in between. This is a casual board that only marginally has anything specific to do with club activities.
Finally we have our Help/Suggestions board. Here you will find Frequently Asked Questions, guidelines on controversial material and contact information. It's a pretty thin section right now, so feel free to help us fill it our by asking us questions frequently.
just... you know... not too frequently
That's it for now everybody! Have fun on on the Official Rough Writer Forums!
