Colour, Color, Blood, Red , all caps... I see what you did there. I like the simplicity and the emphasis on the color red(blood) but I really want to know what it's a reference towards.

Colour, Color, Blood, Red , all caps... I see what you did there. I like the simplicity and the emphasis on the color red(blood) but I really want to know what it's a reference towards. The meaning of the poem is based on the different spellings of Colour and Color. European v American spelling. The poem itself is a reference to America's entry into WWII and subsequent interference in the future. Especially when America has maintained its distance except when we are personally attacked.
