While not a perfect film, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit, despite loosing several elements that elevated the source material to literary status.

The biggest difference that I noted was the change in why the Earth came together at the end. In the book it was an impeding alien invasion, so they changed that. Not sure why.
I enjoyed it too. My wife wasn't so excited, but she's not into graphic novels and didn't read it. But she said it was okay.

I think they changed it so they didn't have to introduce elements like the missing artists and scientists who went to develop the thing.
Unfortunately it makes the blue tiger with antlers at the end serve no purpose. Bubastis was a product of Veidt's genetic experiments in the Graphic Novel.
